What we store

Real keeps what you put into it: your first name, your profile photo and one line intention, your boards and their images, your saved image library, journal entries, signs and wins, notes, the feelings you log, worries you sort, scenes you build, experiments you run, goals and their steps, chat with the Guide, and your settings such as reminder time and theme.

If you create an account we also keep your email address, your plan, whether you asked for the weekly letter and when you confirmed it, and a reference to your customer record at our payment provider. If you take part in Share Real we also keep who invited whom, shown to the person who invited you as a first name and last initial, with hashed signals used only to stop abuse. We do not collect your location, contacts or anything you did not type or choose.

Where it lives

Without an account everything stays in your browser, in local storage and the browser image database. Nothing is uploaded. Clearing your browser data removes it, so use Download backup in Settings if you want a copy.

With an account, a copy of the same data is synced to our database at Supabase, hosted in the United States. It travels over encrypted connections and is encrypted at rest. Only your signed in session can read your rows. Pictures you upload (your image library, board images and profile photo) are kept in a private storage folder that only your signed in session can open, and are deleted when you delete them or your account. Pictures from a search or a link are not copied; only the link is kept.

What is sent to the AI provider

The Guide, the daily guidance line, the writing helpers and a few tools use an AI model from a third party provider. When you use one of them we send the prompt needed for that answer: your message, the first name you gave us, and a short summary of the context the tool needs, such as the goal you are working on or the feeling you logged. We keep this to the minimum and never send your whole journal.

The provider processes the text to produce a reply and, under our agreement, does not train its models on it. Nothing is sent unless you are signed in and use one of these features. We log the feature, size and cost of each exchange, never the text, to keep the service within its limits.

Payments

Real Plus is billed through Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive your plan, its period, and a customer reference so we can turn Plus on and let you manage billing. When you check out we also keep a record of the terms you agreed to, with the time, your IP address and browser, for three years.

Email and your consent

We send account email such as confirmation, password reset and billing notices.

The weekly letter is optional. If you tick the box at sign up we send one confirmation email first, and start the letter only after you confirm. You can leave at any time from Settings or from the link at the bottom of every letter, and we stop at once.

No sale of data

We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers. We share it only with the providers named here, each under contract to process it only for us: Supabase for the database and sign in, Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting, the AI provider for replies, and our email provider for the messages above.

We may use basic non personal counts, such as app opens per day, to keep the service healthy. We run no third party trackers or advertising pixels.

Your rights: export and delete

Export my data in Settings downloads everything as a single file you can keep or move. Delete my account removes your profile and all synced records from our servers within thirty days and cancels any subscription at the end of its period. Both work without asking us.

You also have the right to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, and to object to how we use it. Write to the address below and we will answer within thirty days. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, your local law rights apply in full.

How long we keep it

Your data stays as long as your account exists. After you delete the account we remove it from live systems within thirty days and from backups within ninety. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires.

Children

Real is for people 18 and over and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes and contact

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and tell you in the app or by email before the change applies.
